Our mental health awareness badge for those leading mental health across their school or college

At Minds Ahead, our work is exclusively focused on improving the mental health of the educational community so we have created a mental health awareness badge to recognise our school and college leaders for helping us being one step closer to our goal of revolutionising mental health in schools and colleges for generations to come.

We have just shared the this badge with our first cohort of school and college leaders who completed our Leadership of School Mental Health Masters or PGCert and if you are in Cohort 2 just finishing the course or Cohort 3 currently studying with us, we will be in touch with you by email very soon.

Let's take a moment to recognise everything our colleagues have achieved so far and to reflect on the vital importance educators play in shaping the world around us.

Building a network of leaders committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in schools and colleges

The Leadership of Mental Health & Wellbeing Masters has helped school and college leaders across the UK and abroad to develop the confidence and skills to effectively support mental health needs of pupils, staff and parents in their school community. This qualification ensures that they are provided with expert support, guidance and leadership development to lead mental health across their settings.

In light of the pandemic, our Masters students and graduates have been working together to promote positive mental health and wellbeing by sharing best practice with peers from other settings.

Awareness is key for understanding what mental health is and how the whole school community can receive the help they need

No doubt mental health in education needs improvement and now more than ever school and college leaders must be properly qualified to design and develop a strategic mental health policy across the whole school or college setting.

Aimed at designated senior leaders for mental health, our Masters programme will allow you to gain key leadership and management skills and increased mental health understanding to provide the best possible support for children and to set you apart in ever-changing educational settings. Developing best practices in mental health could help you raise your profile and secure a promotion to a senior leadership position within your school or at a multi-academy trust.
